How long can I use the filter before replacing?
Replacement is recommended after 10,000 gallons of water has passed through the filter, which could be anywhere from 2 to 6 months depending on number of people in the house and the frequency of showers.
It also depends on the level of water hardness in your area. If the water is too hard (you can note from the mineral deposits around your taps), the filter may weaken earlier than 10,000 gallons.
Do I replace the filter or the cartridge inside?
You only have to replace the cartridge, not the entire filter.
Can I use the filter with my washing machine?
This filter can be used for washing machine if the thread is 1/2″ (four points).
We still recommend a water filter for washing machines instead of using this model which is focused on shower.
Excellent Product
We have well water and it leaves our skin dry. Also our hair gets build up and our hair dresser recommended a filter. So far we are enjoying it. It was very easy to install.
I’ve had this attachment for about a month and I noticed a huge difference in my hair health after the first time I used it!! I can’t speak to how long lasting it is but I haven’t noticed a change in my water pressure yet and it was so easy to install!
Dont listen to the bad reviews, this really works and works well. Feeling the difference but will update to confirm if i still see the build up after week on my shower head
